The Tartan Army or {><}TA as we are known in the servers was formed in April 2005 by the now still leader Wallace{><}TA and Jakobite{><}TA. Together we set up a community that at its peak was one of the biggest in the Call of Duty United Offensive scene. We recruited members from many different backgrounds and nationalities and although the name would suggest we are Scottish we are not, its merely the clan Founders that are Scottish. We have became friendly with lots of clans and Communitys over the years most notably the [BBC] and the KTM who we have had many superb fun wars against, and others such as [TNC] and [DARE],more recently we have made strong allies with G4L, FINNSS, MB and FaLieth clan.

In the years since we started lots of people have come and gone and most are still good friends to this day outside of the gaming world. The clan has had a few meets most notably one in Scotland and then one in Holland the following year. Both were superb and id love to get that community feeling back to this clan, and with future meets already in the making things are looking great.We have 19 members at the moment and still growing with atleast another 2 set to have 1 week trials with us.You will find atleast 4/5 members online every day. We are not a serious 'you must be online, you must train, you must practice clan!' its about fun and enjoyment,if we have enough guys online we will get a funwar or just play in our own server and have a laugh some nights we play TWL ladder matches.

The type of people who would enjoy being part of the {><}TA are those who can have a laugh but know when things need to be serious, they must have an out going personality and be prepared to get involved in conversations or matches or anything that's happening within the community. We tend to look for 18+ members but some exceptions are made after we have spoken to the person and found out a little about them.

We curently take part in 3 ladders within the Team Warfare League (TWL) all on COD4 and all Hardcore ladders. Search & Destroy - Headquarters and Team Deathmatch. Members only have to sign up if they wish at some stage to take part in these matches, it is taken a little bit more serious than funwars but again its meant to be fun and everyone to enjoy but it gives us a goal to aim for. We are also going to be hosting our own cups and competitions in the future so watch our Tournaments page.

Currently we have 3 servers all of which are hosting the Call of Duty games, one is for COD5 and the others are Call of Duty 4, with these servers comes a 54 slot Ventrillo Server which is used for communications and basically have the crack whilst online either gaming or just browsing. The upkeep of the servers is done by its members, it is expected of members to contribute to the running costs and help keep our servers free of ass holes, cheats and generally anyone who wants to ruin our gaming fun.

We are playing more Call of Duty 4 and we will be found mostly playing it but this doesn't mean we don't
play other games because we do,just not as much as COD. We will however never forget United Offensive, this was the bloodline of the clan and where it all began for us all those years ago so at some stage you may see us back in the UO servers for old times sake.
